“Jae.” Hillary threw a packet of juicy fruit gum towards his direction over the hood of the car as they walked, Jaejoong catching the small carton like reflex before he unlocked the doors and coolly stepped inside the driver’s seat with a brief click of the seat belt.
“We’re meeting Mr. Oh, the head chef of Tuscany.” Jaejoong informed before unwrapping the gum and place it on his pursed lips, slowly tilting his head up to slid it in while inserting the key in to turn on the engine.
“Do you think he’s going to spare time with his busy schedule?” Hillary bit her lower lip and titled her head slightly to the side facing front, fixing her hair towards the right side of her shoulder. “We went there last week and we didn’t even have a chance to face him. We’re going to waste time —”
“Well, not this time.” Jaejoong cut her off while unlocking the hand break and changing gear to drive. “Hil, your seatbelt.”
“Right.” Hillary shook her head with a small smile before extending an arm, reaching behind to get the strap. “By the way.” She started after the sound of a click was heard. “How did you manage to get an appointment?”
“With Mr. Oh?” Jaejoong glanced towards Hillary with a smug smile before stepping on the gas pedal. “My ways, Hillary. Connections make it easier you know. Barging into someone’s territory without any back up – just like what you did the last time - is not so professionally well done, my dear.” He sounded more like teasing her, which only made Hillary roll her eyes and direct her gaze towards the side window. Hillary didn’t have any intention to argue back, for she knew what she did and truly, it was embarrassing no matter how much she reasoned out.
“Hyah. Do you know silence is far more worst than arguing when it comes to you? Now, you’ve been working with this case far too long that’s why I was appointed to help you. Don’t treat me coldly now. You need a break too. Do you hear me? After this case is done, go on a break.”
“You sound like you’re going to nag instead of helping me, Jae.” Hillary huffed and crossed her arms lightly, sighing tiredly with droopy eyes and the dark shade under her eyes apparent. “But I really appreciate you for volunteering to help this time. This murder case is far more complicated than I thought. Too many politicians involved.”
“And you thought you’d be able to handle the case alone.” Jaejoong smirked while focusing on the road, turning to look at the sleepy female when the vehicle stopped at the red light. “Should we stop by to get coffee?”
“Bright Idea.” Hillary faced him with a grateful yet lazy smile, running a hand through her uncombed hair. “Thanks.”
“Now that you have said that…” Hillary squinted her eyes looking back at Sehun, staring intently with her lips pressed together. “Don’t you think it’s the opposite way around? I’ll be the one playing with your blonde hair all because it’s dyed blonde. I love everything set with hues. And truth to be told, try wearing my clothes and you’d look far more attractive than myself. I’d be the very first person and last to compliment you mainly because I’ll be that person dolling you up from head to foot - and I’l be proud to say how beautiful you are every single day. I told you too, not too long ago how you changed my mood that night at the bar. How much more if we dated? Let’s say, you’re going to flip my world upside down.” Hillary firmly nodded, quite confident of sharing her logic to the male. “But I’ll save the last for you. Try making some different forms of aegyos then, okay?” She tried not to laugh out of amusement before ending her spiel. “Anyhow Sehun, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”
Hillary brought her hands up to cover her flushing face, smiling from ear to ear. “That sounds lovely. To be honest, I think your sincerity of complimenting me is more than enough to make me smile. But of course, I would greatly appreciate the meal you’re going to serve and the hugs that will make me feel secured and loved. Thank you so much for putting some thoughts about this. Also, you could’ve showed your face so I know who to give my thanks.”
Anubis:How do you feel about death?
“Death?” Hillary paused in silence for a good two minutes, and then breaking the stillness of the surrounding with a light sigh that echoed in space. “Someone told me death would bring back good and bad memories to those you have left. Whatever you have brought into their lives would be expressed in ways unimaginable: some would make you want hug them so dearly, but you couldn’t, some would make you regret of knowing, and some would make you want to punch them in their sensitive areas because they are totally jerks and bitches.” She shook her head. “Death concludes your life on earth. It’s not like an essay you can return to and proofread so it turns out a craft you would love to read over and over. So no matter what happens before that very day, try to make your life worth it.. and make every single day your last day (since you will never know) and lastly, learn from other’s mistakes, learn from their death. Because your own life is not enough to learn from. I’m going to lie if I say I am not scared of death, but in a lighter mood, it makes me want to make the best of my life before that day happens.”
Atum:What are your greatest imperfections?
“My greatest imperfection is my goal for perfection. I tend to be idealistic. Each plans I have are all sort out in ways that has to go with my preference.”
Bastet:Do you have any cats?
“I own a cat, but he’s currently in my parent’s place.”
Hathor:What brings you joy?
“What brings me joy?.” Hillary smiled. “That’s a good question. Painting. Painting is the first thing that comes into my mind, and then family and friends follows behind.
I love being trapped in a room filled with full blasted music, the suffocating smell of paint, and the color-messed hands, apron, and face. The idea of being able to express my thoughts and feelings brings me to another form of joy, which I think is addictive, but at the same time good for my overall well-being.”
Send my character things that would be said during sex. They’ll have to come up with an alternate situation for them.
With everything that’s been happening, Sehun decided it was time he get a tutor for his English classes, and luckily, he happened to be able to get in contact with the woman whom he had met during his working hours. And thankfully, she had agreed on helping with his poor English. After exchanging messages back and forth, they finally decided on a place where they could meet, and where they could use to study. Pulling his jackets closer around himself as he walked into the campus’ cafe, Sehun swept his eyes around the place, wondering whether she was there already. Though, the moment he opened the door, the place seemed to be quiet. A lot more quieter than he had expected. Without waisting time, the boy took a seat near the window and waited for her patiently, allowing his mind to wander to places. His attention was brought back to life the moment a woman started talking. “You came before I did.” He couldn’t help but look up at her with a smile. “Yes, and you told me you’d arrive before me. Tch—” His words were accompanied by a laughter.
